Polish legislator often uses the carrot and stick approach. However, when it comes to financing costs, stick policy prevails. Each and every year, new tax limitations on interest and other debt financing costs are introduced to the Polish CIT provisions. Starting from 2022, significant changes were implemented to combat the excessive debt financing and target the overleveraged companies.
